Somewhere East of Kokomo Indiana I drove out from under what had looked like simple overcast while I was, um, under it.  Looking back,  I saw the leading edge of the storm front as it expanded across the countryside.  By the time of day I took these photographs (this image is a composite) it was getting warm enough for the cloud formations to begin really building into what would eventually become classic midWest thunderheads.
