Like many of the images I've created, what became the Vera Packard series of covers began with a moment of thinking:
"Hmm, I want to do something with this photograph." The first result was the large single frame of the woman in some kind of combat situation.
Then came the impulse to see if that could become an picture on a book cover, which it did, and the rest followed. Again.
Patting myself on the back, I also like that there is a definite visual change in the character as the course of the story progresses.
